My Wedding Journey: Chapter One | From Proposal to a Bride-to-Be | WhiteLink Bridal ♡

Hi loves ♡

The spoilt little princess – me – is getting married!

I got engaged two days before my birthday in September 2013 – during a small family party at home. The proposal was simple (but came as a huge surprise to me) – with my man down on his knee, waving that sparkling stone at my face, and I really have to add – without flowers. But these things are secondary, all it took to melt my heart was that four words from him, “Will you marry me?”

Our story had officially moved on to another stage, after two and a half years.

I had since been busy – at the same time happy and excited – with wedding arrangements and such. It was like a little girl’s dream come true.

That blissful feeling was overwhelming.

Vikki’s Wedding Journey

I will be documenting my whole wedding preparation journey – marking every step that I will be going through from day one of preparation – right to my actual day – for this is a memory worth keeping.

I am also happy and proud to say that I have engaged a few wedding sponsors – on top of those that are already part of collaboration with my blog – to join in on my wedding journey.

I am grateful for these people, and of course not forgetting the family and friends.

If you would like to be part of my wedding journey, please do not hesitate to drop me an email or contact me though my Facebook Page. I would love any help that I can get, in making my special day happen, together.

Wedding Preparation:
Choosing My Bridal Boutique

After shortlisting a few bridal boutiques, in consideration of customer services (which is my priority), gowns and photography – I made my choice with my brother’s bridal boutique – WhiteLink Bridal. I was there during our family fitting of suits and gowns, and I am pleased with their awesome services and hospitality. Even though I wasn’t the leading female role, I was showered with the same kind of attention a bride would have – making sure everything goes well for me. I am definitely placing them first in my list of bridal boutiques.

And so, after a couple months of discussions, here we are.

Let me share with you the first chapter of my wedding journey. 🙂

My Wedding Journey:
Chapter 1 | WhiteLink Bridal

I had my first official appointment with WhiteLink Bridal last week. I was, like the first time we met, greeted warmly by Tiffany and Kenneth – whom I had been liasing with. And they are extremely camera-shy. I was then introduced to my choice of wedding coordinator – Dave – named one of the top three coordinators in WhiteLink Bridal.

The man and I were brought into their newly renovated private room – and I must say – IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I don’t know about you, but I was in love at first sight with the clean and cosy setting, with a touch of vintage. The way I would love my wedding to be.

Now, let me show you around.

A private place for discussions and tea-breaks.

I would say mainly for the man who has to spend hours
waiting for wife-to-be trying on gowns after gowns.

A personal platform for me (and the man) to admire myself in the pretty gowns.

Racks and racks of gowns and dresses.
I am spoilt with choices and choices!

Meet Dave, my friendly and fun wedding coordinator.

Finalising our wedding package and further
discussion of suitable gowns for me.

Trying of Gowns: #1

The smile on my face – spells happiness.

Please note that some of the gowns that I have tried on are in the Designer Range – which requires top up of cash.

Meet Tiffany and Kenneth.

These two funny person makes great companions in my journey.

My Gown #1

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!

Me: “Hey Dave, let’s not choose anymore. I am getting this.”
Dave: “Don’t like that! Give me some work to do please!”

The Man’s Suit #1

I giggled all the while seeing the man in a suit.

But, he looks great. 🙂

My Gown #2

I love how this gown design makes me look sophiscated and lady-like. The folding of gown is lovely and I especially love the long train. Not forgetting it’s low-back laces.

The Man’s Suit #2

Pure white suit with bling-blings around the line of collar.

This man looks stunning, and he belongs to me.

My Gown #2 and The Man’s Suit #2

The perfect couple.

I attempted to steal this heart prop but failed.

My Gown #3

English-Victorian look.
A gorgeous piece of gown.

My Gown #3 and The Man’s Suit #3

We have all decided that colours do not go well with him. :p

A Short Tea-Break

Trying of gowns usually take a couple hours – and in some cases taking up to a day. Their usual practice of a short tea-break before trying on more gowns because everybody deserves a rest.

Viewing portfolios of their photographers while enjoying our tea.

ROM Gown #1

I was mad in love with the hot pink shade and folding design of the dress.
But I decided that this is not appropriate for solemnization ceremony.
I will probably pick this as one of the photography outfit.

ROM Gown #2

Absolutely love this one!

The floral details in black is flattering to the plain white gown.
And I especially love the extremely low-back netting and train.

ROM Gown #3 and The Man’s Suit #4

Absolutely love this metallic silver suit on the man!

He looks stunning, yes? 🙂

As for this ROM gown, it is a beautiful piece
but I do not like how it fattens my bottom.

Nevertheless, we look awesome.

Tea Dress 褂 (Kua) #1

All I can think of when I’m wearing this is,
“I’M IN A 褂! I’m getting married!”

The formal 褂 set.

A cute little pom-pom skirt for a casual and fun look.
Suggested outfit for my wedding photography.

Finally, it’s the end of trying of gowns for today.

It has been a looooong exhausting day but despite feeling shagged, I had so much fun! Having the right people as part of your wedding coordinator team is important, and I am thankful for having such awesome people to work with.

Thank you Dave, Tiffany and Kenneth for the awesome hospitality and fun at WhiteLink Bridal.

I am looking forward to my appointment in a couple days – to decide on a ROM dress and choosing of my evening gowns from their huge luxurious collection.

And thank you loves, for taking the time to follow on my documentation of my wedding journey!

Read on for more. 🙂
