Why 4or Nails?
I found 4or Nails on Facebook and was drawn to their pretty nail artworks. I am really happy that 4or Nails is joining me on my wedding journey – and also as my blog’s long-term sponsor.
I have actually been offered a few nail salon sponsorships, but I decided on 4or Nails without the need of much consideration. It has been a breeze chatting with Hyejun – the founder of 4or Nails – just like friends, which I find an important point for long-term sponsorships. Nothing too formal. She has been very patient with my neverending questions, and she is definitely not fussy and especially not one that demands a lot. I really appreciate that she is keen and generous to offer bridal nails – for my wedding photoshoot in a couple days – at my very first nail session with her!
I was attended to with really pleasant hospitality during my first visit to her nail salon. Her friendly staffs has tons of good words for her as well – that she never had the much-too-formal way of a usual stuck up boss and she treats all her staffs and customers just like friends – which I really like!
The nail salon is small but cosy, with an impressive range of nail colours and stunning displays of artworks.
Bridal Nails In-The-Making
If you have ideas in mind, do show them the photos (if any) as they will better know your preference. What Kim and I have both decided to do – after showing her some examples I randomly grabbed on the net – is a two-toned bridal gelish nail with lots and lots of bling blings. How can any girls not fancy bling blings? 😀
Now let me share with you the whole procedure of my bridal nails in-the-making – which took us 4 damn hours. It was a really long session but the final results was worth it.
Step 1: Trim & File
Trim and file the nails to the desired length and shape.
Step 2: Push Back Cuticles
Push the cuticles back with a cuticle pusher.
Step 3: Buff
Lightly buff the surface of each nail with a block buffer.
Step 4: Prima
Step 5: Gelish Foundation
Apply a coat of gelish foundation to each of your nails.
Kim is very serious and patient in her work.
Step 6: Cure Gelish Foundation
Cure the gelish foundation under the LED or UV lamp.
Step 7: Colour
Base Layer: Pinkish Shade
Finally, after a long and attentive manicure procedure, we are starting with the colour! Kim will be putting on the base layer – a pinkish shade – for a healthy nails look. And thereafter, she applies a silver shade for the top base of my two-toned nails.
A pinkish base layer indeed makes my nails look naturally healthy 🙂
Top Base Layer: Silver Shade
Mid Layer: Blending of Two-Tones
Top Layer: Shine + Multicolour
Step 8: 3D Nail Art
And now it’s finally time for the bling blings. I can’t wait! 😀
Acrylic Powder + Monomer
Application of Bling Blings
Application of Large Ribbon Bling Blings
Step 9: Top Coat
My Bridal Nails: The Final Look
Thank you Kim, I absolutely dig my stunning bridal nails! You patience is impressive. Not forgetting to thank HyeJun for the wonderful hospitality and kind sponsorship. You ladies are awesome!
And thank you loves, for taking the time to read.
