I Love Shorts ♡
If you have been following me closely, you may have noticed that I wear shorts really often. Why? Because I love shorts! They are comfortable, easy to wear and the best thing about them is – they practically match anything and everything.
My LookBook | Shorts
I have tons and tons and tons of shorts – from denim to laces – and these are only a small number of the huge collection of camwhoring photos.
Now let’s see how I match some of these shorts. 🙂
Types of Shorts
Now let’s talk about the different types of shorts – for the different types of women (and body shapes) – and how to wear them right.
Shorts are a woman’s wardrobe staple. A nice pair of shorts can make you appear stylish and comfortable. They may often be deemed as a casual wear but if you know how to pick the right ones and match them tastefully, they can be worn at parties and look hot all the same.
Tip: Always keep proportions in mind.
Below is a list of various types of shorts that I personally adore, and some tips on how to wear them right.
Denim never goes out of style. I especially love the ones that has the ripped-off look. These are perfect for women with long legs. Speaking of which, if you are short and petite, always keep in mind that it doesn’t mean your legs are short. It is all about the body proportion.
Tip: Make your legs look visually longer by wearing the right pair of heels – depending on the length and shape of your legs – with these denim shorts.
We may probably cover on that in a separate post. 🙂
Many have the misconception of high-waisted shorts being a fashion taboo for tall and short women. Well, like I said, it is a misconception. The trick is to balance out the length of high waisted shorts.
Tip | For Short Women: Balancing out the length of high wasted shorts will elongated your legs and keep you from looking stumpy, if you’re worried about that sort of thing. Keep the length of shorts really short. For example, the higher the waistline of shorts is, the shorter the length of shorts should be.
Tip | For Tall Women: Consider the top. A tank or simple t-shirt will look chic with high waisted shorts, or you can pair them with a button-down dress shirt if you would prefer to lengthen your torso and not look like a Frankenstein freak or something – which I honestly and seriously think that you won’t. Be proud of your height and lengthy legs! Woes from a short girl – like me.
I used to hate all things floral – as they seem old and out-dated to me, otherwise they just simply look like table cloth – but I guess people do change with time. Instead, floral prints – depending on the designs as some still do look old fashioned – gives a youthful light and especially now that I have fallen in love with bright colours – you know, like Kate Spade style. There are also dark coloured floral prints if you prefer monochrome to colours, and the trick to match floral print shorts is easy.
Tip: As they are already considered fanciful for the prints, match it with a plain and preferably solid colour to enhance your floral print shorts. Same applies to dark-coloured prints.
One of my favourite kind of shorts – basically I just love anything lacey. It may not be as easy to match as compared to the types of shorts listed above, but it can be a breeze if you know some tricks – for different body types.
Tip | For Skinny And Petite Women: Get something close to your cutting. Loose lace shorts do not look good on skinny and petite women unless you like going out in pyjamas.
Tip | For Heavy Weight Women: In contrary to the above mentioned, find something that is not body-hugging. Stretched laces look bad. And I mean, really bad.
Where To Shop
Love these shorts but don’t know where to buy them?
There are so many blog shops out there, and most of them ship worldwide – some with free postage! But do note that some blog shops focus on certain styles and/or sizes, so it may take you some time to find the right one.
Otherwise, you may look for shopping portals that carries different brands – which makes shopping a whole lot easier.
Shopping for fashion shorts online can be a breeze!
Thank you loves, for taking the time to read.
